Shibuya, Tokyo is the stage. Both dreary and delightful in its own way. The girls spend their normal daily lives there. Then, suddenly, enemies called demons appeared, along with something that resembles a black cat. The black cat grants the girls mysterious new powers. The power to call forth new potential – the power to determine their own circumstances and borrowing the power of potential, the girls join the battle.
